The Longville Parks and Rec Committee
Who We Are
The Longville Parks and Recreation Committee is made up of dedicated local volunteers who step up in their free time to take care of the facilities at Stuart Memorial Park in Longville, Minnesota.
Our committee meets once per month April-October, but the work of maintaining and improving our parks happens year-round. We handle everything related to parks and recreation in Longville, including but not limited to organizing events, fixing broken equipment, and planning improvements.
When you have an idea for a new program or notice something that needs fixing, we're the ones who listen and take action. We're your friends and neighbors from the community who make sure our parks stay safe and fun for everyone.
Volunteers Wanted!
Looking for ways to be more active and get more involved in your community? We have open positions available on our committee board and we are actively seeking new members to join our efforts! Some of the current subcommittee openings include: Volleyball, Basketball, the Ballfield, and more.
Residents of the City of Longville and community members from the Greater Longville Area are encouraged to apply as volunteers!
If regular meetings aren't your thing, you can also help us out periodically with ongoing park projects, improvements, and general maintenance on and around the grounds.
